This terroir in particular is famous for producing high quality Cognacs, due to the fine, limestone soil that is high in chalk content. With the change in terrain dating back millions of years, and layers of marine sedimentary deposits, the Grande Champagne is home to the best in Cognac grapes. The Frapin Grande Champagne Extra is subtle and complex, and is a testament to this cru with its particularly long finish. It is a wonderful after dinner drink and is the epitome of finesse.
