The Distillery was purchased by a John Grant in 1856 as an adjunct to a farm (Glenfarclas means Glen of the the Green Grassland) and continues in family ownership under the direction of John L S Grant (Chairman and 5th Generation) and his son George (Director of Sale and 6th Generation).
