Yellow Tail Wines is an Australian wine brand owned and managed by Casella Family Brands. This range of wines was launched by John Casella in 2001 with the objective to create fun and easy drinking wines without the complexity and jargon associated with the wine category.
TASTING NOTES:
The grapes used to craft this Merlot were crushed, fermented and left on skins to add colour and retain strong fruit flavours. Yellow Tail Merlot displays a chocolate red colour. The fresh and aromatic bouquet leads to a soft and juicy palate containing rich flavours of dark plums and mulberries coupled with subtle spice notes, altogether culminating in a delicate and persistent climax. Crafted to consume upon release, this young and fresh Merlot develops beautifully with a cellaring period of 2 years and tastes best with antipasto, roast chicken and grilled steaks.
