Johnnie Walker Blue Zodiac Ox is one of twelve proposals from a unique series dedicated to Chinese culture. The Chinese zodiac, or Sheng Xiao, is a repeating 12-year cycle of animal signs and the attributes assigned to them, based on the lunar calendar. In order, the animals of the zodiac are: Rat, Ox, Tiger, Rabbit, Dragon, Snake, Horse, Goat, Monkey, Rooster, Dog, Pig. The Lunar New Year, or Spring Festival, marks the transition from one animal to another – 2020 was the year of the Rat, and 2021 was the year of the Ox. In Chinese culture, cattle are highly valued. Due to his role in agriculture, he is credited with positive traits such as hard work and honesty. Oxen are honest and serious, discreet and never seek praise. This is also their equivalent in the whiskey version – modest, but extremely valuable!
