Product description

Hennessy VSOP – the first VSOP cognac – was created for the prince of Wales and the future king of Great Britain, George IV. George IV. asked for a “Very Special Old Pale” cognac, which was delivered from the distillery Hennessy in 1818. Since 1818 the classification VSOP became the reference of high quality and maturity for all other cognac producers. This blend consists of approximately 60 precisely selected eaux-de-vie of different age and character, aged mainly in used oak barrels. The result is a perfectly harmonious and distinctive cognac combining intensity and finesse.

The opening nuances of vanilla and light tobacco give way to more complex toasty nuances, which are the result of a long maturing process in oak barrels. The flavor is perfectly harmonious with silky texture and wonderfully long finish with bright mahogany color.

The brand Hennessy is more than 250 years a synonym for cognac. Its story began in 1765, when the brand was established by Irish officer called Richard Hennessy, who settled in Cognac region in France. Since 1800s the master blenders have passed their knowledge about the Hennessy cognac production from generation to generation. To this day, this knowledge has been protected by the eight generation of the family Fillioux.
