Tasting

Phééric (November 2018) :  We tasted this vintage on a vertical basis going from 2011 to 2016. Of all those tasted and on the date we write these lines, the 2011 is by far the most remarkable and the most attractive because its maturation is launched. So a great start for a 2011 vintage which, in the north of Médoc, has very often revealed great wines according to experts. The Tour de By 2011 is drinking well now. He is harmonious and his character has visibly softened, which is all the better. To be enjoyed between 2019 and 2022.

Gault&Millau : The phenolic mass is velvety, the notes are fleshy. The attack on the fruit continues with Bordeaux breeding. The notes vary and evolve from fruits to spices to coffee beans still hot from roasting.

Oenologist  of the Château: With an intense garnet color, this 2011 from Château Tour De By is expressed by a deep nose of black fruits and finely toasted aging notes. On the palate this wine is distinguished by its density and the elegance of its tannins which give it a very long finish, full of finesse. This great success confirms the quality of this vintage for the Médoc and gives a wine that can be enjoyed today, with the balance allowing it to age peacefully.
