- THE WINE
- The chalky soil in which its vines grow, combined with the traditional methods of working the ground used here, have each played their part in producing a wine of character with immense concentration. Soutard produces a great Saint-Émilion with plenty of laying-down potential.
- INFORMATION ABOUT DOMAIN CHÂTEAU SOUTARD
- Château Soutard is one of the oldest domaines in Saint Emilion, and belonged to the Ligneris family from 1836 to 2006, when it was acquired by the insurance group, AG2R-La Mondiale, which also owns Châteaux Larmande and Cadet-Piola. The château is absolutely superb, and well worth a visit. Since the purchase, considerable investment has been undertaken. The wines are now more precise and generous
