Description
Description:
Set on six hectares of gardens, this elegant Chateau dates from the eighteenth-century and boasts seventeen hectares of vineyards. Sandy, gravelly soil is less common on the Right Bank of Bordeaux, but here give the Chateau its character and acclaim. The average age of vines is forty years and each parcel is vinified separately to ensure that the Pradel de Lavaux family tradition of excellence is maintained. Regularly winning world wine awards, this is a delicious and excellent example of St Emilion that is worthy of its Grand Cru status.
Tasting Note: It results in a smooth, concentrated and complex wine that has vanilla notes, undergrowth and dark berry flavours and a soft, elegant and fine-grained tannin structure allowing it to age gracefully for years
