When a château has the same owner as the illustrious Château Lafite-Rothschild, its wine cannot fail to be up to par.

In the past, Château Duhart-Milon grapes were used in the composition of the second wines of this premier grand cru classified. Les Domaines Barons de Rothshild has owned Château Duhart-Milon since it was bought in 1962. The château belonged to the Castéja family for nearly a century before it was sold in 1937 and five owners succeeded. Château Duhart-Milon has almost been replanted since becoming part of Domaines Baron de Rothshild. It was not until the blossoming of the vine and all the efforts of its director Charles Chevallier that this fourth classified growth of Pauillac became a safe bet in the Médoc.
