Description
The castle is located in Saint-Estèphe, it owes its name to the fact that the town was once called “Calones”.
The geographical location and the soil composed of gravel give the wine all its roundness and sap, which are admired by connoisseurs.
Château Calon-Ségur represents 55 hectares, backing onto the village of Saint-Estèphe and entirely enclosed by a wall. This surface remains unchanged since the classification in 1855.
