Description

“Artana” is a harmonious single-varietal red wine made from Saperavi grapes grown in the Kakheti region at an altitude of 800 meters above sea level. Vineyards grow on rocky soil. Daytime temperatures reach 45 ° C. The stones heated during the day give off their heat at night, thereby contributing to the rapid ripening of grapes. Unlike the traditional 2 weeks, fermentation and maceration of the wort lasts 41 days, due to which the wine has a rich, rich taste and aroma. Malolactic fermentation takes place in oak barrels, as a result of which the wine acquires elegant, silky tannins in taste. The wine is aged for 15 months. Dry red wine “Artana” is recommended to be used in combination with red meat, game, veal, grilled meat and cheeses.

GWS was established in 1993 as a joint venture between Pernod Richard and Georgian shareholders. Since July 2011, the sole owner of the enterprise has been the Marussia Beverages company. GWS produces various wines and a strong Georgian drink – chacha. The two main wine brands of the company – “Tamada” and “Old Tbilisi”, under the brand “Old Tbilisi” produce dry, semi-dry, semi-sweet and sparkling wines from various grape varieties. Due to the high quality of products, the company is actively developing and expanding the sales market, distributing its products in the CIS countries, the Baltic States, Japan, Germany and others. The production base of GWS provides the ability to carry out a full cycle of production. This company was one of the first in Georgia to receive ISO 9001 certificates in 2005 and ISO 22000 in 2008.
