Very underrated in my opinion. A nice 50/50 fight between cask and peat. Quite affordable for an official 25er.
Nose
The peat is quite obvious in this one. Cake dough, green apples, hay. Slightly mineral too. This may seem like a bold statement to some, but overall the nose is not too far away from Brora. Waxy and salty. After a time the cask takes over with lemon and vanilla. Slightly on damp wood, a little mossy, maybe mouldy. Not quite sure about this one.
Taste
Very creamy. Maybe a little too nice, but this is not necessarily bad.Vanilla fudge. A strong note of pepper. Lemon and honey. Coal smoke, charred wood maybe a bit of bonfire. Slightly salty.Definitely simpler than the nose but well rounded.
