Tasting Notes:
Our 2019 Rye Barrel-Aged Red Blend is deep, rich ruby in color and opens with ripe aromas of boysenberry and black cherry fruit, nutmeg, cinnamon, and gingerbread spice, with hints of sweet mesquite smoke, tobacco, and barley malt. Flavors of jammy boysenberry fruit, sweet gingerbread, cinnamon, and nutmeg follow. Deep, rich chocolatey tannins and a hint of sweet smoke round out the wine with a smooth, lingering finish. A fine choice to pair with grilled skirt steak, Kobe beef sliders, charcuterie boards, and aged cheeses.
