55% Merlot, 40% Cab Sauvignon, 5% Petit Verdot.
Dominique Befve has opted for an almost identical blend to Château Palmer but the style is very different. With a cold pre fermentation maceration, greater extraction of colour and tannin and a higher percentage (90%) of new oak, this is an impressive, dense wine of great power and richness which doesn’t have the finesse of Palmer but has bags of flavour and masses of rich, meaty fruit.
