Description
The Irish folk punk band The Pogues might not be of any meaning to you music-wise – but when it comes to their whiskey, they surely deserve any attention they can get. They provide you with a drink that is absolutely unique in its price range and offers a lot!
The Pogues commissioned the West Cork Distillery to manufacture their Irish Whiskey. The distillery, located in the picturesque village of Skibbereen near the South coast of Ireland, is unique in Ireland because they are the only ones to malt their barley themselves. The Pogues Irish Whiskey is a blend based on 50% on a mixture of 10YO single malt whiskey matured in sherry oak barrels as well as 7YO single malt whiskey matured in bourbon oak barrels and 50% 4YO Irish grain whiskey in bourbon oak casks. A wonderfully pleasant feel in the mouth paired with notes of nuts and malt speak for themselves.
The bottle neck says: “I am going where streams of whiskey are flowing” – what are you waiting for?
