Description

Ron Zacapa Centenario is the only rum to be in the Caribbean Rum Hall of Fame. The history of Zacapa slolera 23 años goes back to 1976, when the distillery was founded in the city of Zacapa, which is located in the east of Guatemala. Rum is distilled from fermented pure virgin sugar cane syrup. It matures with the Solera system at an altitude of 2,333 meters in white oak barrels, in which Bourbon, Port, Sherry Pedro Ximenez, or Tokaj wine were previously matured. It is made from thosethe most carefully selected rums with an average age of 23 years, which are then blended for at least one year. The taste is characterized by sweet honey viscosity, notes of nutmeg, leather, tobacco and coffee. Cinnamon and ginger appear in the finish. It smells like caramelized banana combined with dried anas. Ron Zacapa rightfully belongs among the jewels of distillates and was rightly included in the rum hall of fame .
